On Call Communications Announces Strategic Alliance with X2nSat to Expand QuickSPOT Scheduled Services For Broadcast and Business Continuity

Foothill Ranch and Petaluma, CA April 19, 2016 — On Call and X2nSat announced the formal partnership to dramatically expand and enhance satellite resources to their customers. Both companies are known for their innovation applying satellite technology to create flexible, reliable networks.

What does this mean for customers? Increased reliability, increased stability and vastly expanded availability of service in both capacity and geographic footprint.

On Call Communications, by partnering with X2nSat, will gain access to X2nSat’s satellite capacity, thus tripling the number of spacecraft in their system. On Call will also gain access to X2nSat’s three satellite gateways, including the impressive New Mexico facility slated to be completed by the end of 2016. X2nSat also operates a primary gateway in Petaluma, California, and a separate, fully redundant teleport in Norcross, Georgia. Combined the networks will cover all the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, large parts of Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean.

Global satellite communications solutions provider X2nSat will gain access to On Call’s proprietary satellite bandwidth scheduler. This scheduler, in part, will allow X2nSat to obtain access to a tremendous amount of satellite capacity which will be used for their upcoming 25, 50, and 100 Mb/s satellite backup options. The service is scheduled to launch summer of 2016.

On Call’s proprietary scheduling system lets customers completely automate booking and operating on occasional use satellite space. Customers book space online, deploy their automated antenna and the space is automatically activated, all frequencies tuned and turned down. The scheduling system operates for broadcast and federal government clients now.

“Our customers will truly benefit from the addition of capacity and experience. Together we will be able to offer more customized service options, more redundancy and a deeper line of services. X2nSat’s experience with large scale SCADA networks and telemedicine is a great compliment to On Call’s focus on broadcast and government services.” said Jim Gilbert, CEO of On Call Communications.
